Variability modeling and mapping of soil properties for improved management in Ethiopia

چکیده
Abstract Managing soils for improved agricultural production requires information on soil fertility status. Our objective was to map better management in Ethiopia and determine their spatial correlation at a separation distance of 29 m. We collected 82 samples (0–20 cm depth) 560 ha land determined pH, Olsen extractable phosphorus (Olsen‐P), organic carbon (OC). then interpolated between sample points (ordinary kriging‐OK weighting‐IDW [inverse weighting]) evaluate dependence. Olsen‐P ranged from 2.68–42 mg/kg exhibited high variability with coefficient variation (CV) ≥35%. Conversely, pH showed low (CV ≤ 15%) ranging 4.84 6.81. Soil OC content varied 0.81% 3.17%. The IDW ( R 2 = 0.86; RMSE 0.019) outperformed the OK. semivariogram results indicate strong dependence spherical, exponential, Gaussian models, while moderately spatially auto correlated all models. OK predict (moderately acidic), (low), (very low) contents. maps may help improve alternatives, increase crop productivity, secure environmental quality.

Spatial variability of some soil properties for site specific farming in northern Iran
Evaluating agricultural land management practices requires knowledge of soil spatial variability and understanding their relationships. Spatial distributions for fourteen soil physical and chemical properties were examined in a wheat field in Sorkhankalateh district, in Golestan province, Iran. 101 soil samples at the distances of 5m, 10m and 20m as nested grid were collected at the depth of 0-...
متن کاملApplying Spatial Geostatistical Analysis Models for Evaluating Variability of Soil Properties in Eastern Shiraz, Iran
ABSTRACT- The information on the spatial properties of soil is vital to improve soil management and to increase the crop productivity. Geostatistical analysis technique is one of the most important methods for determining the spatial properties of soil. The aim of this study was to investigate spatial variability of soil chemical and physical attributes for field management in eastern Shiraz, I...

in this thesis, at first we investigate the bounded inverse theorem on fuzzy normed linear spaces and study the set of all compact operators on these spaces. then we introduce the notions of fuzzy boundedness and investigate a new norm operators and the relationship between continuity and boundedness. and, we show that the space of all fuzzy bounded operators is complete. finally, we define...

This study was aimed at evaluating the effect of crop rotation and various tillage systems onthe chemical and biological properties of soil in the years 2013-2015. The first order factorincluded cropping systems: a) crop rotation (pea – winter wheat – spring wheat) and b)monoculture of winter wheat, whereas the second order factor were tillage systems:1) conventional (CT), 2) reduced (RT) and 3...

Soil mapping is one of the basic studies in the natural resource sector. The purpose of this study was to analyze spatial of soil properties on the map of arid areas and deserts. For this purpose, a region with an area of 600 hectares in Qom that considered Salt Lake watershed. Specified methods used include inverse distance methods, radial functions, and prediction local general estimate. Krig...
